Brian Glaister is an entrepreneur with a passion for launching for-profit entities that create sustainable social impact. He is currently an Entrepreneur in Resideince at Intellectual Ventures (IV) charged with building digital health businesses based on IV's intellectual property portfolio. Prior to Intellectual Ventures, he founded Cadence Biomedical and led the development and commercialization of Kickstart, a wearable medical device that helps stroke survivors and people with other neurological conditions walk. Additionally, he provides management consulting and advisory services as Managing Director of Conflux Innovations, a boutique consulting firm serving early and late stage start-ups in the technology and life sciences industries.
Brian was honored on the 40 Under 40 list by the Puget Sound Business Journal, a member of the Wall of Fame at the University of Washington Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship, and won the John J. Gallen Memorial Award as an outstanding young alumnus of the Villanova University College of Engineering. Brian resides in Seattle with his wonderful wife Chrissy and adorable puppy Cleo.
