Once upon a time, startup companies measured success based primarily on the ability to achieve scale and negotiate a profitable exit for themselves and investors.  Social good was seen as antithetical to that goal. But things are changing. With a new generation of entrepreneurs raised on doing well by doing good, many companies are thriving by incorporating social purpose into their business models.  This panel will explore the opportunities, challenges and rewards of operating in this framework.

Our panel features 5 social-impact entrepreneurs who will give their perspectives on how their mission differentiates them from their fashion peers, contributes to society and their brands, changes the vibe in the workplace, forces operating tradeoffs and impacts their bottom line.  How do they communicate their cause to consumers and to investors? They don’t just give lip service to their mission – they build it into the fabric of their business. They’ll share insights and stories from the trenches that will help you think through how your business might be able to give back and what it will take to make (or build on) your idea.
