As a journalist, Florangela specializes in behind-the-scenes, closely-observed stories of artists and creatives. She is a former daily newspaper journalist with two decades of experience, more than 1,000 bylined news and feature stories produced under every imaginable deadline. She's also  the recipient of national, regional and local awards.

As a communications creative for nonprofits, Florangela takes a storytelling approach to build content that connects with audiences. Some of her roles and projects have included: editorial director for a foundation's inaugural magazine; writing content writer for a foundation's website and newsletter; executive producing CDs; supervising the creation of videos for non-profit clients; writing exhibit display text as well as online content for museums; producing multimedia content for a live event; and interviewing academic thought leaders for in-house videos.
