We recently launched the new 12-month Master of Science in Entrepreneurship at the Foster School of Business. The University of Washington is an innovative and inspirational environment in which to create a program from the ground up. Developing a degree that attracts passionate students from around the world is my startup experience. The MS in Entrepreneurship blends academic frameworks, practical knowledge, and rich mentoring to help students build their entrepreneurial capabilities while developing their business. I help students put their spark of an idea into action!

My foray into fast-paced startup culture began at UW’s Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship. As head of graduate programs, empowering MBAs and PhD students across campus to explore entrepreneurship was my driving mission. Through active engagement I could respond to student interests and needs by developing new cross-disciplinary initiatives and activities.

I got my start in higher education as a part of Foster’s external relations development team working with alumni and donors. I managed the Dean’s priority stewardship and cultivation events, speaker series, conferences, banquets, a groundbreaking and a building dedication, and the taping of the business TV shows.

I’m the proud owner of a B.A. from Pacific Lutheran University which allowed me to jump into the business world after a year spent working my way through Europe.
