Yoko Okano

Angel Investor
Yoko Okano took a non-traditional path to tech and startups, studying music history at Stanford and playing Taiko (Japanese drums) professionally before joining Google. In her 8 years with Google, she worked in operations and strategic partnership roles for AdWords, Book Search, News, and Google Play, where, in addition to launching Google's ebook business in 13+ countries, she managed partnerships with comic book publishers, the fastest growing ebook vertical for the organization.

Since leaving Google, she has jumped into opportunities that allow her to be on both sides of the startup fundraising table, as a product leader for 2 startups, and most recently as the fund manager for the 14th round of the Seattle Angel Conference, which aims to spark more angel funding in the Pacific Northwest. Yoko will also be joining the Sybilla Masters Fund as a venture partner in 2019.
